Middleton Lodge Wedding Photographer | Tammy & Andy’s Rainy Romance
If you’re dreaming of a romantic, atmospheric North Yorkshire venue, then Middleton Lodge is one of the most magical places to say “I do.” As a Middleton Lodge wedding photographer, I had the absolute pleasure of second shooting a truly beautiful wedding last September for the incredible Ollie Glover Nota, and I’m so excited to share a few moments from Tammy & Andy’s unforgettable day.
A Rainy September Wedding at Middleton Lodge
Tammy & Andy tied the knot in early September, and although the forecast brought more rain than sun, it only added to the cozy, intimate vibe of their celebration. The couple made full use of Middleton Lodge’s stunning Main House and the Garden Marquee—both perfect spots for a rainy-day wedding.
Their ceremony was held under the sweeping spiral staircase in the Main House, a breathtaking backdrop adorned with blush pink florals and glittering disco balls that set the tone for the rest of the day. Despite the weather, the mood was warm and joyful—Middleton Lodge is a dream venue that holds up in any season, especially with a creative couple like Tammy & Andy.
Making the Most of the Rain
The rain might have driven us inside for much of the day, but we didn’t let that stop us from capturing beautiful images. While guests huddled together under the grand entrance to the Main House for group photos, Ollie and I braved the drizzle to make sure everyone was photographed in the best light (literally and figuratively!).
There were a few breaks in the clouds, giving us just enough dry moments for some stunning couple portraits around the estate’s gardens. The rich greenery and soft light added a romantic, editorial quality to the shots—a real photographer’s dream.
Personal Touches & A Beautiful Reception
Tammy & Andy’s attention to detail flowed seamlessly from ceremony to reception. The Garden Marquee was decked out with more pink florals and sparkling disco balls, creating a fun and elegant party space. One of my favorite details? Each guest had a custom beer mat at their seat—such a personal, thoughtful touch that had everyone smiling.
