Hey hey…

I’m Mollie, if you didn’t already know. I’m a full time self employed wedding photographer who lives in Leeds and who grew up in old Skeggy on the east coast. I’m sure you have been on holiday there, most people I mention it to have.

I’ve been a photographer for lets say around 7 years now. Got my first camera on my birthday in 2015, my good little Nikon which I shot my first wedding with. Since then I’ve done all sorts of photography, whether it be bands, gigs, dogs, portraits and products. I first got into weddings when a family friend asked me to photograph their wedding reception on a golf course back in Skegness. Looking back now, the photos aren’t the best but I definitely knew that this is what I wanted to do and learn more about.

I began shooting weddings professionally probably a couple months just before covid decided to ruin everything. I had many cancel or postpone, including some abroad (which I’m keeping my fingers crossed will still happen) however the few micro weddings I photographed during lockdown were so fun and intimate, and now here I am doing better than ever.

In January 2023, I finally made the decision to quit my job working for Wex and go fully self employed. Doing this during the off season and in the middle of a cost of living crisis may have been a stupid idea, but I’m enjoying every moment of it and can’t believe how well things have been going so far.

So who am I?

Other than being a photographer, I dabble in music and even have a degree in production (you know, pressing buttons and moving sliders in a studio). Don’t ask me to produce anything though, can’t remember a damn thing and its only been 2 years! I play the saxophone and a bit of piano, and I like to sing terribly once I’ve had a drink or two.

Right now, me and my partner have just bought our first house together and raising a fat cat called Blu. I’m hoping one day to have a hoard of sausage dogs, not that I don’t love cats. I believe dachshunds are my spirit animal.

My Style

‘prompting not posing’

If you can’t tell from my portfolio, my style is all about being relaxed and having fun!

It’s your day, I want you to enjoy all the amazing things you have planned, so I won’t be dragging you away from all the festivities for hours to have a posey photoshoot (unless that’s your kind of thing, then hell yeah!)

So be prepared for lots of laughs and having a bit of fun. Like it says above, ‘Prompting not Posing’. So no awkward smiles, just me telling you to kiss with your new parter over and over again with a mix of hugs and dancing thrown in between.

So now that you know a little bit more about me, and have taken a look at what I have to offer, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
