This wedding is back from 2023 but still to this day is one of my favourites, as I always love a good Woodlands Hotel Wedding. Tamara and Matthews day was full of love, joy and ponies! Its certainly one I will remember for a long time, and definitely a first for me. But more on that soon…

Tamara and Matthew contacted me early 2023 to ask me to photograph their wedding at Woodlands, which is a luxury wedding venue based just outside of Leeds city centre, and know for its beautiful orangery and its blend of old and new architecture. They started their day separately for the wedding preparations, Matthew in Woodlands beautiful honeymoon suite, and Tamara in the purpose built bridal preparations room. Tamara was surrounded by her friends and family while having hair and makeup done, and I was taken away secretly to learn from her father that he had brought her pony to surprise Tamara during the drinks reception.

The ceremony for the two was held in the Drawing room at Woodlands, which was full of happy tears. The two wrote beautiful and meaningful vows to each other which even nearly got me crying.

Once outside and the majority of the group photos were complete, out came Tamara’s pony which was such a surprise to her. Following photos with the pony, we move onto some private portraits of Tamara and Matt around Woodlands Hotel, once again making use of the drawing room.
