Cool yet classy

Happy 2024! I know we are a few months in already but I finally get to share this amazing wedding from January, my first wedding of the new year! And what a way to start 2024 by going to one of my favourite venues in Yorkshire, The Yorkshire Wedding Barn in Richmond. I had only had the pleasure of coming here previously as a wedding guest, so I was super excited to go back and photograph Beth & Karls classic wedding there. They really hit the nail on the head with clean, black and white designs with elegant floral decorations. Go check out all the suppliers they used in the list below!

The day started of course with the preparations, and The Yorkshire Wedding Barn has an absolutely georgous room on the second floor of the main barn dedicated to bridal prep. With lots of space and stunning skylights, the room also comes with a beautifully set bath tub for those who fancy a soak before the big day. The cleanliness and elegant design allowed me to get some pretty cool details shots of the dress, shoes, flowers and all the other little bits that Beth had spent time deciding on.

Karl and his groomsmen got prepped in the new boathouse on site, with stunning views over the lake we joined them as he got on his suit jacket and tie.

The ceremony was held in the main barn which is just stunning and filled with natural light. There were lots of happy tears from friends and family as Beth & Karl tied the knot. Due to lots of high winds and the chilly January weather, most of the family formal shots took place inside again the beautiful brick walls of the barn.

As we move into the evening, the couple decided to surprise their guests with The Undercover Waitors, who as always, never disappoint and got the crowd going with lots of music and dancing.
